Have your JW Relatives Explained about Generation/Overlap Change to You ?
by flipper inafter reading on the way out's thread about his mom explaining the generation overlap to him it kicked this idea into my head to make this thread .
i thought it would be helpful to see if anybody here has had jw relatives or friends try to explain this " generation overlap " theory to you as a faded or inactive witness and what happened in the conversations.
so please feel free to post your experiences.

Sept.15th WT - WT Society uses Guilt & Fear to Avoid Friendship & Internet
by flipper inonce again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.
and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?
or you would have a " potluck picnic " with about 30 to 40 people getting to know one another to draw close as friends outside the confines of the kingdom hall ?

Faith and belief is not owned by christians who believe and have faith that Jesus is the answer to all life's problems.
So, I don't think that this topic is against faith and belief in Jehovah, Jesus,etc.
It's concerns all of the various belief systems,faiths and cultures wherein each one has their own faith and belief whether taught from birth, learned from reseaching other belief systems, or experiencing a personal revealation.
Conclusion is that all of those persons throughout the world who have faith and belief are using spackle to fullfill their lives and are not facing reality.
Is that a correct understanding on this topic?

The Bible speaks of different kinds of Baptisms good and bad, water and fire etc.
I don't believe that the Bible is from God, that it is a product of man and his history.
So, baptisms of any kind are not valid, billions have never been baptized.
Baptism will not take away or wash away or put you in any special relationship with anyone.
It's a doctrine put in place by pontificating.

CoCo,Like you getting older 65 years, getting tireder, getting poorer, slaved for the Watchtower for 33 years, no wages or pension from them, still in the work force trying to build a little nest egg until I'm 70. My wife is 70 now. So, it come down to this, Living in the "NOW."
Enjoying the moment, life, pets, walks, reading and always thinking about what will come next after the spark of life leaves this body.
